FDA tells XanGo juice to back off claims

Most realize that the FDA does things to protect individuals from believing false claims that are offered by a product manufacturer. The FDA requires that any product that is marketed to help treat conditions or otherwise benefit health to follow strict guidelines when doing so. It claims that XanGo Juice violated those rules.

XanGo Juice is made of mangosteen, which is a tropical fruit. According to XanGo Juice, the juice contains phytonutrients that are called xanthones. According to their research, it can help to do a number of things stemming from helping to improve joint function to strengthening the body’s immune system and improving intestinal health. There are a number of other claims offered by the juice maker right on their website.

But, what comes into play here is the marketing materials that have been used. According to the FDA, XanGo Juice has been distributing materials making pretty astonishing claims and there is no approval for XanGo Juice by the FDA. XanGo Juice, on the other hand, claims that these materials have come from a third party, not the company itself. The FDA says that the claims that are being made about XanGo Juice are not able to be made by any product that is not a drug or approved through the FDA.

Although the FDA says it has found some nine brochures on the product in question, XanGo Juice has claimed that they are not from the company themselves and are doing everything they can to stop them. Nevertheless, the question remains if in fact any of these claims are true. Until the FDA actually determines the benefits of XanGo Juice, you’ll have to monitor those claims for yourself.
